The most important element of the social structure is the social institution. Today we speak about family definition essay, its role and importance in the society, its values. The family history essay shows the extent of its promotion by offering its citizens real opportunities for social and cultural development.

Many modern families think that family as an element of structure is dying now and the society is being weakened.

There are many negative and positive aspects of this. I think that the negativity is in the fact that a lot of parents give their children to look after to their grandmothers and grandfathers. Present mothers and fathers spend all the day at work. Men earn much money than women. So, the father of the family, as the leading member expects to obey decisions how to spend money he earned.

On the other hand, today we live in a very democratic world where our women take the feministic position. Not long ago, cleaning, washing, cooking, child care and his education were perceived solely as female responsibilities. The social role of men in the family was to earn for life. Modern women successfully equal rights with men and have proved that men are quite capable of performing the same job as they. Increasingly, the dominant worker in the family is a woman, not a man.  So, her partner gets the role of a housewife.

Only at one situation, man is not able to replace a woman – the birth of a child. But how about his career? Now dads can take the leave for a child care. The leave for child care usually takes the parent whose income is less.

The positive aspect is that nowadays more and more parents want to look after the baby. They teach their children discipline and set examples of their own life in different situations. Parents also make flexible working hours and their free time they devote to their children. In Britain, for example, there is a survey for fathers who want to share children duties with them.

In this case we can speak about family values essay. What does it mean? We take pleasure in conversations using the phrase "family values", but it is hard to define. Probably family values - that is what is important for families, that necessary "cement" which combines a group of people with similar genetic code in a friendly community.

What family values do we have? These families are quite diverse. We all are different that is why we speak about different values.

  1. Communication. For any human communication is important, he must share information, express his opinion, receive advice and recommendations. Often families do not construct a normal system of communication and all our joys and anxieties we tell our friends and psychoanalysts. When the family has trustful relations, then quarrels and fights are less, because many issues are resolved, the members should sit "at the negotiating table."
  2. Feelings of significance for his family. Returning home, we want to see the joy in the eyes of loved ones, we need to feel their love, to know that it does not depend on the achievements and victories. Hopefully, in his free time each family member take a moment to another, and do not go headlong into their problems. The house is a fortress, and the family is a harbor.
  3. Respect. If family members do not respect each other, are not interested in the opinion of one another, so normal communication between them may not be. It is important not to confuse respect and fear; children should respect their parents, and not be afraid of them. Respect is expressed with readiness to accept the feelings, needs and thoughts of another person, he does not impose his own point of view and try to understand it.
  4. Responsibility. This feeling is inherent to all people. But there should be a responsibility not only for the working moments, but also to the family, because everything we do is for the family and all its members should know it.
  5. Traditions. Each family has its own traditions and their presence is a unifying factor which unites the family together.

So the family essay is a very important element of a social structure. Changes that occur in families, affect the nature of social relations in the state and the development of the society. The crisis of the family is manifested in the loss of orientation of young people to create their own family, low fertility, the increasing number of divorces, and the increasing number of illegitimate children and so on. One major factor is the crisis of family financial difficulties, frustration due to unreasonable expectations for reaching a certain income, lack of life prospects.

To sum up, I can say that I am disagree with the opinion that the family has not got the leading role in the society because many parents want to communicate to their children. On the other hand, children try to specialize the relationship between them an d their parents.

I have an idea how the parents can get on well with their children. I think they must become a great part of children’s life, become closer to them. Parents need share problems, opinions and interests of their children and children will feel that they need to communicate with their parents, you will see.

The phrase "I love you" has a great value. Every time you say it, you express the importance of these words.
